Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp had no intention of becoming an actor. He dropped out of school at fifteen years old to pursue music. After playing in several mildly successful bands, Depp got married and moved to LA. While there, his wife introduced him to Nicolas Cage, who thought that Depp should get into acting.
Soon after, Depp accompanied a friend, Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen), to an audition for Nightmare on Elm Street. The teenage daughter of Wes Craven, creator of the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, insisted to her father that Depp was "dreamy" and that he had to cast him.
